We are on a mission to build a community of women who have experienced (directly or indirectly) abuse, trauma, discrimination.

There are 3.5 billion women in the world and 1 in 2 of these women will experience abuse, trauma, discrimination in their lifetime.

That's 1.25 billion women trying to heal and re-build their lives.

We recognise surviving trauma is a defining moment in a woman's life, because we have been there. It's often a long and lonely journey to heal. But surviving and that breakthrough moment of taking back control of your life is an empowering moment, all the more beautiful if surrounded by a community of women on the same journey as you.

I am Arla is a platform for these women to connect and learn from other like-minded women, feel safe, feel proud and tap into resources, tools and people to help you get to where you want to be in life. Let's face it, we could all use a friend in the hardest of times, especially someone who knows exactly what you are going through.

We connect you to like-minded women, give you a safe space to share your stories, heal together and tap into a community of resources, support, experts and above all else, friendship.

I am Arla facilitates connections and conversations that women need and want to have.

Devika & Laura

The friends and founders behind I am Arla, both survivors of abuse, the idea was born when they re-connected after years apart and shared their stories with each other. Despite the number of women effected by this, they realised they had never met/ spoken to anyone else and speaking with each other was therapeutically beautiful! Both had spent days trawling through blogs and forums online for advice and to connect with other women to find tips to healing and real practice advice for moving forward. Devika suffered with confidence in her career and kept returning to toxic relationships whilst Laura struggled with self-esteem for years. They decided to create a platform and community as a solution for the problem they faced.

I am Arla does more than bringing women together; it's a safe place to share stories and feel supported, whilst connecting to experts and resources to support their journey. Whether it's all-round life coaching, navigating a blockage in their career or re-learning about healthy relationships, it's about recognising a pain point that millions of women encounter and finding a solution. Healing from trauma is truly challenging, and Devika & Laura's focus is to reduce feelings of fear and loneliness and empower women to unite, all over the world.

With love, Team Arla
