If you align with I am Arla’s vision, deeply care about helping women thrive after trauma and want to be one of our first 30 practitioners, we want to hear from you!

This is the first of it’s kind! A directory and a safe space for women to come and access support at any point in their healing journey.

At I am Arla, we understand women can experience many different types of trauma, from suffering a miscarriage to domestic abuse, hence why we want to make it inclusive for all women. That’s why we are building a directory from practitioners to healers, legal representatives and space holders together with events all tailored to help women thrive after trauma.

What are we looking for?

  • Therapist and counsellors (Both top-down and bottom-up approaches - EDMR, CBT, IFS, Somatic, person-centred, psychodynamic, brain spotting, EFT, Eating disorder therapists. Fertility and miscarriage).

  • Creative Therapists/dance and movement therapy.

  • Body workers and body-based therapy.

  • Breathwork practitioners.

  • Hypnotherapists.

  • Mindfulness teachers.

  • Meditation teachers

  • Spiritual and energy healers.

  • Yoga and Pilate Teachers / Personal Trainers.

  • Coaches. All areas welcome (Mindset, life, embodiment. relationship. self-love. inner child. Mind-body coaching, relationship)

  • Physiotherapists.

  • Anyone who helps individuals heal.

What Makes This Different?

At I am Arla we want each individual featured on the directory to have experience, qualifications and knowledge of gender based trauma.

Practitioner Requirements:

  • Relevant core qualification for the modality of choice. Coaches need a qualification or certification. Therapists/counsellors need to be qualified at a minimum level 5 and registered with an organising body. Yoga teachers/breathwork practitioners need relevant certifications etc.

  • Adequate training or a qualification in trauma-informed / trauma-trained approaches or extensive experince working with gender-based trauma. We recognise the full range of modalities, schools and certifications available in trauma healing.

  • Experience working with gender-based trauma within client work. This doesn’t have to be decades of experience however, we want individuals to have knowledge and experience holding trauma in space with clients to ensure they are competent and understand the tenderness of trauma work. For example: If you’re a physiotherapist, knowledge and understanding is required around the impact of trauma on a woman’s physiology (armouring, pelvic pain etc).
